Do you like working small puzzles?
Do you like surprises?
Need a gift that keeps giving?
If so, consider a puzzle subscription box for yourself or friend. You sign up for 3 months at a time and I ship out your box at the end of each month. I am only offering 5 subscriptions per quarter. The deadline to purchase for the fall is October 15. Click here to go to the website for more information and to purchase.
New Website Section: Downloadable Patterns
We’ve just added a section on the website for patterns you can download. Here’s the first one, just in time for International Coffee Day on Oct 1. You can download the pattern, which will fit on US letter sized paper, and print. Then cut and fold. I’m posting an overview video of the process on Chestnut and Hemlock Paper’s IG account on Tuesday, Oct 1. We’ll be adding more patterns for you to use as we develop them. If there’s something you would like to see, please let us know. |
Handmade Paper Now Available
We now have all 94 handmade Indian papers listed on the website. They are available in full sheets or US letter size on the website. You can also follow Chestnut and Hemlock Paper on IG or FB.
Handmade cotton paper with silk inclusions
I’ve just cut my first puzzle using the handmade paper. This is a little scrap of Dutch Houses that I painted and then laminated to the wood. It’s a pocket puzzle that has close to 30 pieces. I have lots of ideas I want to explore that combine these lovely papers with puzzles, I just have to find the time to do so. |
Holidays
If you want a puzzle for the winter holidays, please order 6 weeks in advance AND let me know what your deadline is. If you need paper to create your holiday cards or gifts, please allow AT LEAST a week for shipping.
Plant Corner
Sadly, I gave up on the orchids. I’ll donate my orchid supplies to my mom and her sisters and stick to plants that require less careful attention. I haven’t had time to go to the nursery in awhile, but it is definitely on my list. Every time they post that they’ve gotten another load of houseplants in, my schedule doesn’t work to go by.
