We’ve been home from Parley and the following trip to Oregon for about 3 weeks now. It was exhausting, invigorating and really lovely.

My main takeaway from Parley is that I wish I had had more time to chat with everyone while knowing I had no energy left to do so.

In Oregon, we visited with grad school friends, ate all the yummy food not available in Alabama, spent time at the coast and in the mountains and went to Portland Puzzle Company. The lack of humidity and miserably high temperatures was absolutely wonderful.

I have two new hand cut puzzles available.

I am trying something new this month. I am listing them on the website, but hiding the listing so they should only be accessible to people who read this newsletter and click the title link to access them. Hopefully that makes it easier to purchase or know if they have already sold and it lets you easily add anything else you want to your cart.

Nandina and Flycatchers in the Snow is a Japanese woodcut. I cut several similar puzzles for the subscription one month.

One of the things Parley has done since 2022 is give each participant a business card sized puzzle donated by a small puzzle company/ maker.

Since Parley was in Minnesota, I designed this puzzle with loons and a hidden Double Puzzle of a loon with a baby. This is a Limited Edition. We produced 30. At this point, there are 9 left. Each is numbered on the back. You can purchase it here.

Taking Hand-cut Orders

I am taking hand-cut puzzle orders for a limited time. This can be a custom puzzle with an image you choose or a puzzle from the hand cut section of the website. READ THIS to see what the options and current prices are for custom puzzles. You will need to message me to discuss custom image options. I greatly prefer images from museums and rawpixel.com that I can download and print on my own paper. For images already available, you can order directly on the website now. It is likely that I will close puzzle orders again so that I can complete these orders without ending up with long wait times.

If you are interested in hand-cut marbled puzzles, I am cutting some but will have to wait until it isn’t as miserably hot and humid to be able to spray them with finish. They will be available for newsletter readers first.
