Hand cut puzzle available

I have a couple marbled puzzles that I’ve cut, but it’s still too hot and humid to spray them. They should be available next month. Speaking of hot, It’s been close to 100 for over a month, so I’ve done very little cutting. Really hoping October means temps drop below 90. Though at this point, even 90 would be a relief.

Masquerade is a small hand cut puzzle with 125 smaller than normal pieces. Color line cut with knobs, curls and earlets.

Spider Pocket Puzzle

I started designing the cut for this puzzle when I found the image in early spring. I love the image, but it only works well as a small puzzle. As with all of the Pocket Puzzles so far, this has a Double Puzzle. It took a couple tests with subsequent adjusting to design a 3 piece spider whose legs and connectors weren’t too small.

Growing up, I enjoyed receiving the special bags of treats my aunts and grandparents would prepare for me and my cousins. Sometimes, this was an alternative to door to door trick or treating.

These puzzles would be great in special treat bags for older kids or parents. They are also an easy way to introduce friends and family to wooden puzzles.

Spooky Fun

This puzzle design started with a Raphael Tuck and Sons vintage postcard and grew from there. I assumed this would be a Double Puzzle, but nothing really worked with the colors and space that excited me. And we all know, if an idea doesn’t excite you, you won’t do a good job with it. Filling it with trick or treaters and creating a whole scene across the top was fun and exciting, and I hope you find joy in working it.

Plant Corner

Alas, it has been SO HOT that it’s too hot in the sunroom, even with the ac. This means that I didn’t notice how desperately some of the plants needed water. I’ve decided, as much as I love maiden hair ferns, that they are not for me. I just need to enjoy them when I see them in the wild, like we did at Silver Falls in July.
